Romario to play in Miami
All the rumors are true. Miami FC have made quite a splash prior to the club’s inaugural season by signing one of the greatest natural goal-scorers of all time, Romario.
USL veep Tim Holt summed it up: “It would not be an overstatement to categorize Miami FC’s signing of Romario as the most significant in USL First Division history.” I’ll say.
Allow me to caution the over-ecstatic: it remains to be seen whether or not the 40-year-old striker can still play. It’s been a lot of years since the Rose Bowl.
That said, you’ll find me at the Jimmy on June 11—when Miami visit my Thunder—to find out.
