Nike, Adidas, and the World Cup
Anyone interested in the business side of soccer, specifically the shoe wars, ought to check out this piece in Business Week.
The article discusses Adidas’ exclusive rights to advertise at the World Cup and Nike’s response, Joga Bonito, the campaign that unfortunately gave us Eric Cantona as the ambassador of good will.

The Ronaldinho add is MUCH better as far as I am concerned. If I could figure out how to link the damn thing onto this page I would. If I had one half of his skill I’d be playing in the MLS right now.
