April FIFA Rankings

What happens when your team gets thumped 4-1 by Germany and draws with a below-average Jamaican side? Why, you move up a spot in the April 2006 FIFA rankings, that’s what!

As further proof of FIFA’s madness, the U.S. Men’s National Team is now ranked fourth in the world, up one spot from last month’s best-ever ranking.

Group E opponents Italy and Ghana are ranked number 14 and number 50, respectively. I guess this means that we should just fly through that so-called “Group of Death,” right?
