The MLS needs all the publicity they can get. When I heard about the celebration and that he could be facing a "fine", I seriously was trying to figure out what the big deal was. He was thrown a can. He drank some. He spit it out. Controversy? When this all started I thought that he was getting fined because Red Bull interpreted his actions as "Red Bull go screw yourselves for renaming the team and pissing a lot of people off." And maybe that is what he was doing, but Red Bull certainly wouldn't want to make a big show of being pissed as people are already pissed at them so they pressured the MLS back office to do something. So rather than make a mountain out of a molehill all parties decided that $250.00 would just be laughable enough to not really mean anything at all except "Don't Drink, Spit, and Celebrate".
