Rumor: Beckham to New York Red Bulls
Former England captain and current Real Madrid star player, David Beckham, is reported to be in “secret” talks with Red Bull New York over a huge $100 million deal. This reported first by—of all places—The People magazine.
Frankly, I don’t feel much like analyzing this. Instead, let’s have a little fun.
If Beckham makes his way across the pond, headline writers will have a field day (imagine the New York Post!). Let’s beat them to the punch and have a headline-writing contest. Imagine you were a headline writer and had the liberty to write the headline of your dreams about Beckham coming to America, what would it be?
My entry:
“Twice In A Lifetime”
OK, so mine sucks. Your turn.
