Lagos was a member of the original Minnesota Thunder team in 1990 and played for the Thunder until 1996, scoring 29 goals during that time. He was named the USL Most Valuable Player in 1994, Midwest Division MVP in 1994 and 1995, and played in the USL All-Star Games in 1994, 1995 and 1996. Lagos led the thunder to consecutive championship matches in 1994 and 1995.

After leaving the Thunder in 1996, Lagos played for a number of teams in Major League Soccer before retiring as a player last year. He is currently the director of soccer operations with the Thunder.
