Hanover defender Steve Cherundolo has told German television that Juergen Klinsmann is to take over as US national side coach.

I was a bit skeptical of the Pekerman rumors (mind you, it didn’t stop me from posting the story!). Frankly, I think Pekerman would be a great choice and, while I think Klinsmann is a great choice, I don’t think the world ends if he doesn’t get the gig.
