Now, as much as I love loud noise (who doesn’t?), I feel the need to give the Sunil Gulati head-hunters a subtle piece of advice:

The ceremonial egg nog is on me.
Though it doesn’t officially confirm that Davey ‘Double-chin’ O’Brien is out for broadcasting any form of soccer on ESPN, it at least give all us soccer-nerds hope for the holidays.

I’m not holding my breath on the Dave O’Brien thing. I stumbled across that a few days ago and figure he already had baseball duties – he’s just changing who he’s announcing for. TO ESPN they probably think he has soccer ‘cred’ from the world cup so they will push him for future soccer announcing.
Sigh….
