Germany has a World Cup baby boom
Last summer’s mix of sun, beer and excitement during the football World Cup appears to have produced a massive hormone rush in German bedrooms, gardens and back alleys. Nine months on, birth clinics across the country that hosted the tournament are reporting a much-needed baby boom.

Mark was there. I expect he will be asked to travel back to Germany for numerous paternity tests.
I don’t think I’m alone in wondering what blogs are read by Josh de la Throughball.
C’mon, please!
Heh.
If I were to disclose that list, you all would do as little work as I do and the economy would come to a grinding halt. I can’t be responsible for that.
J. Michael,
Good call.
And on a side note…isn’t your wife pregnant, Josh? Must have been a good night at neighborhood recreational soccer, perhaps?
Ken,
The U.S. did not make it out of the first round, so my wife probably didn’t enjoy the World Cup experience as much as she would have liked.
I guess we can look forward to kids in 2015 or 2019. Until then, practice makes perfect.
Mark,
Good luck with that. Because my wife is Italian, we are expecting quintuplets in April.
Congratulations to those expecting!
I’m not sure why Mark is counting out 2011…
