Video: Soccer is for wimps

Right?

John Terry was kicked in the head, knocked unconscious and he swallowed his tongue…The Chelsea captain was accidentally kicked in the head by Arsenal defender Abou Diaby in the 58th minute after trying to score with a diving header.

He fell to the ground and swallowed his tongue, Chelsea medical officer Brian English said, and was unconscious for about a minute. The England captain was then put on a stretcher with an oxygen mask placed over his mouth and a brace around his head.

Isn’t that dangerous play? What did the ref do?

Max: Interesting question. I hadn’t really considered that aspect. I reckon I was distracted by the brutality of it all.

I only wonder who made the more dangerous play, John Terry putting his head in the area of a boot or Diaby putting his boot in the area of a head.

I had the same thought when I first saw the clip, figuring that as odd as it might seem, any dangerous play call might go against the guy sticking his head into the fray.
