Foto Friday: Craven Cottage
There’s something so romantic about Craven Cottage. It’s no wonder so many Americans are drawn to Fulham F.C.
This picture says it all:

Wouldn’t mind taking in a match there, myself. Seems like it has a “homier” feel than some of the nouveau monster grounds.
Here is one of my favorite views of the Cottage.

It’s one of the few old stadiums left. I think if you talk to most Fulham supporters they will tell you that you can have your modern stadiums in large commercial or industrial spaces.
By the way, Fulham USA is a great site to start with. But the FulhamFC.com site is one of the better web sites in the Prem.
Also, there are a whole lot of really well written and thoughtful Fulham blogs that have popped up over the last year or so. I write for one of them. Here’s a list, starting shamlessly with the one I write for.

It’s been a couple of years but I remember going through those gates into the old uncovered stand at the cottage end to see Ipswich play one boxing day. It was even more surprising back then cuz you couldn’t see the stand at all. you’re walking down the street, show your ticket and go through a gate and get into the stadium. nice grat. I remember the match wasn’t anything to write home about though.
